A talented Author has spent years producing skillful yet empty “entertainment art,” endlessly rewriting Shakespeare in a new guise. The Censor demands more — meaning, depth, beauty. Over the course of several days, he attempts to transform this “trash” into something truly worthwhile. Meeting after meeting, day after day — out of this conflict, a performance is born right here and right now.

*ShitDev*r is an ironic and merciless satire of theatrical clichés, directing, acting stereotypes and creative blockages — and ultimately of ourselves. It is a performance that poses uncomfortable questions and invites us to look critically, with humor, at what theatre is today — and who we are within it.
